A 2011 study conducted at the University of Minnesota made the news showing that women who take multivitamins are more likely to die before age. In the same year, a research study from the Cleveland clinic showed that vitamin E supplements increases the risk of prostate cancer in men.

In spite of these studies, millions of Americans continued to take multivitamins all throughout the next year. The explanation for this is that for decades, scientists have been trying to prove how antioxidants can cure a long range of serious illnesses. Their theories were disproved one by one, yet it took a long time until they dropped them. In fact, taking multivitamins increases the risks of different types of cancer because they disturb the balance in your body.

The Scam of Multivitamins

These vitamins are found in fruits and vegetables. Now, there is no conclusive study that eating them will make you safe from cancer. However, there is proof that it will strengthen your immunity system. If you increase the doses of vitamins your body naturally extracts from food, then there is no balance between free radicals production and destruction – which antioxidants do.

Bottom line is –  do not poison your body with additional supplements. As a matter of fact – it’s best to avoid processed food or “enriched” food altogether, including veggies from the supermarket, which are anything but natural. Our ancestors used to live much longer than us. Why do you think that is? Because they were eating what they were growing, and they didn’t take any supplements. Everything that is advertised right now as a cure for cancer is still in an experimental phase. Do you really want to be a guinea pig?

The safest, best solution to staying healthy, as much as you can control it, is knowing what you eat. The only way you can be sure of that is growing your food. I mentioned this before, but this is not the type of advice that you only take once. It takes lots of people saying this over and over to convince you to do it. Trust me, I know.

You don’t need to live in a mansion with a huge garden to be able to do it; you can begin by growing small, unpretentious vegetables in flower pots, on the balcony. Not only will you feel better, but it will taste better too. The taste of a tomato that you have grown yourself without any additional substances is nothing compared with the plastic, expensive thing you get at the store.

Experiment THAT on your body instead of volunteering for all the experiments that you hear about. At least we’re certain that this doesn’t kill us.
