We are back with more key-ingredients that will outlast you. Better stock up on these when you prepare

for survival!

          1. Hard Liquor

Having hard liquor around the house isn’t just good for drinking, but also for cooking different dishes,

such as pasta or fish. Whether it’s tequila, rum, vodka or whiskey, it’s really good having them around

because they don’t go bad after you open the bottles. Even if the taste and scent might fade away in

time, you still have plenty to go before that happens.

In order to keep it fresh, put it in a dark cold room. Avoid storing the bottles under the sunlight or in a

heated place. Keep them closed tightly at all times.

          2. Maple Syrup

Maple syrup is a very traditional, beloved ingredient in the American kitchens. Pancakes are simply not

the same without it, but there also plenty of other dishes that go with it. The best thing about maple

syrup though is that if you keep it in the freezer, it will last forever.

In order to keep it fresh, place the syrup in the refrigerator. For long periods of time, freeze it in airtight

containers.

          3. Pure Vanilla Extract

I’m talking about the real deal here, not the imitation. Now I know that this is more expensive, but it

lasts forever, so you won’t waste it.

To keep it fresh, store it in a dark place and keep it closed.

          4. Distilled White Vinegar

Distilled white vinegar is a very versatile when it comes to cooking. You can add it in marinades, salad

dressings and lots of other stuff, so you will always need it.

To keep distilled white vinegar fresh, place it in a cool, dark place and maintain it capped when you

don’t use it.

          5. Cornstarch

Cornstarch is a must-have for a lot of things, main courses and desserts, gravies and puddings. This

ingredient is great because it lasts for a long time if you keep it dry and in a sanitary place.

In order to keep it fresh, put it in a cool and dry spot. Keep it closed tightly when you don’t use it.

Salt

          6. Salt

Salt is the most basic ingredient in the kitchen. It’s the best flavor enhancer, no matter if it’s just plain

salt or the fancy type, like kosher or sea salt. It will never go bad.

In order to keep it fresh, place it in a cool, dry room.

I hope this list will be helpful to you in your preparation process!
