          1. Cold Compresses

This is the most basic cure for headaches. You just have to apply a soft, cool piece of cloth on your forehead. This will enable your blood vessels to constrict. Moist the cloth in cold water from time to time. Another alternative is to freeze it; place it in a resealable plastic bag, put the bag in the freezer and leave it stay there for 30 minutes before using it. If you have packs of frozen meat or veggies in your freezer, you can simply wrap a tower around them and use them.

          2. Hot  Water for Your Feet

This is one of the best tricks for feeling better. Bathe your feet in hot water and your head will take up the benefits; this method eases pressure on the head’s blood vessels. Add a little mustard powder to the water to get better results.

          3. Gingerroot Tea

Prepare ginger tea by adding 3 slices of fresh gingerroot in 2 cups of boiling water. Take small sips and breath in the steam. This type of tea reduces inflammation and is as effective as aspirin. It also helps you get rid of nausea.

          4. Fresh Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is another natural drink that treats headaches like a charm; you will find a lot of info on this on the Internet. You basically just have to squeeze some lemons and if you want, add some chamomile tea. The pain will be less intense. For best results, drink three to four cups of it a day.

          5. Almonds

Almonds are as good as painkillers because they actually contain a substance called salicin that is used in headache medicine. So drop the pills and eat some almonds instead; it’s the healthier alternative, for sure.
